Olivia Ramirez Smith, founder of The Mother Earth Effect Community.
The line at the top of The Mother Earth Effect Community on Skool says who it is for: women who want to rise while staying grounded. Olivia Ramirez Smith opened the community this fall, and she means both halves of that sentence.
Most wellness spaces ask a woman to slow down. Most career spaces ask her to speed up. A woman who wants a promotion, a business of her own, or a healthier savings account usually has to leave one room to enter the other, and she learns to keep her ambition and her exhaustion in separate conversations.
Olivia Ramirez Smith built one room for both.
The community is free, private, and open to women only. Members meet on monthly Zoom circles built around Earth-based rituals and the turning of the seasons. They practice grounding together for balance and clarity. A guest speaker joins each month, and podcast episodes carry the conversation between calls. The education covers holistic health, personal finance, and self-care, along with what she calls the art of feminine connection.

Personal finance sits on that list on purpose, and she knows the rising half from the inside. She opened New Image and J. Michaels in Victorville, California, in 1999, grew it to a team of fifty, and ran it for two decades. She founded The Mother Earth Effect LLC at sixty-two.
Her argument concerns what ambition runs on. You can push through a quarter on adrenaline and coffee. You cannot push through a decade that way, and many of the women Olivia Ramirez Smith met in her treatment rooms had tried.
Grounding is her answer to that problem. Known around the world as The Earthing Ambassador, she advocates for direct contact between the body and the surface of the earth: bare feet on grass, sand, or soil. Researchers studying the practice have reported effects on sleep, on markers associated with inflammation, and on the settling of the nervous system. She presents that research as a reason to try the practice and says in print and from wellness conference stages around the country that grounding is not a treatment and does not replace a physician.
The circles give the practice a schedule. A woman who reads about grounding on a Sunday and plans to start on Monday tends to start in April. A woman who knows her circle will ask about it next month starts that week.
The monthly speakers take the room past wellness. A session on money can follow a session on sleep, and the same women attend both. A member who joined to feel calmer can leave the year with a clearer plan for her next ten.
Her training shapes how the conversations run. Olivia Ramirez Smith is a Master Neurolinguistic Practitioner (NLP) and a certified Mental and Emotional Release (MER) specialist, and both disciplines listen for the quiet rules a woman lives by. I have to earn rest. I cannot ask for more. A circle that hears those sentences spoken aloud gives the woman saying them a chance to hear them too.
Her books reach the same women at a larger scale. The Mother Earth Effect, a number one best-seller with a foreword by Mariel Hemingway, carries twenty-one contributing women alongside her. Sacred Spaces: Subtle Shifts for Mind, Body, and Home Transformation, the Colleen Avis-led collaboration that won the Books for Peace International Award, was her first number one. The film she co-produced, The Earthing Movie, featuring Clint Ober, Strategic Partner, has reached over 8 million global views.
For the deepest version of the work, Sole Rooted runs six days at Gaia Villa in Joshua Tree, twelve women at a time, with entry by a one-on-one Zoom with her. The community is the version a woman can reach from her kitchen table on a weeknight.

Olivia Ramirez Smith spent twenty years watching capable women run on empty while they built careers, families, and businesses. The community gives them somewhere to refill on a monthly rhythm while they keep building.
